Fourth of July 2026 — America250 Celebration
On July 4, 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, a public celebration was held at Proto-Town. The day's centerpiece was the dedication of the Saturn Point-V — a water tower built as a full-scale rocket replica, its name a nod to NASA's Saturn V.
Retired NASA astronaut Charles "Charlie" Duke attended the celebration and led the dedication of the Saturn Point-V tower. Duke, the Apollo 16 Lunar Module pilot, is one of only twelve people to have walked on the Moon.
The celebration continued through the day and evening with a barbecue, live music, an evening projection show, and a fireworks display.
